I could not disagree more!

The value of morels comes from their distinct flavor. Nothing else should be added to them. They could look just like a chicken plop and they would still be one of the best tasting foods you could ever eat and put other mushrooms to shame.

The commercial puffball on the other hand fits your characterization to a tee.
