Yeah, that's what I used. It's a Miller 175. I used 80:20 C02/Argon and .030 wire.

I have to ask. what did you use the get the hoops round.

I formed them on a HF ring roller, similar to the one pictured.

Just get some guards on that drive system.

I know, I keep looking at it and telling myself the same thing. As soon as I get my plasma cutter fixed, I can fab up some guards. I have no real excuse...since I've had a lot of safety training in the use and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. I guess I was hoping that no one wood notice 'till I had it done.


I got my hand caught up in a chain drive on a rock crusher once.
Still got all of my fingers but it was close.

It's good that I don't have to use it again (I finished up today) until some time in the fall.
