Unless you are privy to the contents of the emails, like some are, the "freedom of speech argument" goes out the window. Threatening lawsuits, name calling, late night phone calls, defamation, cyberbullying, harassment all come into the fray here.
And for your info those are against FEDERAL law. Plenty of info on the web about using the internet and phone communications as a instrument to harass, bully etc.
