Sorry for not responding sooner. I didn't see your post.
My plants were maybe 7' tall, but I don't sucker, so they were quite spread out too. They seemed to have more biomass than any of the others last year. In fact, I didn't give them enough space. I used 24" spacing on them and they all grew into one huge mass.
