I will have to see what hot peppers and eggplant are going for at the Raleigh market when I shop there this weekend. I do know that German Johnson and other non-hybrid tomatoes (a few Cherokee Purples are starting to sneak in) go for 2.69 to 2.89/lb. I am sure hot peppers and eggplant are sold by the pound.
