"Kathy" here, unfortunately unable to help solve the mystery of the cute little red tomato, though. I sent seeds to Filmnet earlier this year in response to his request for Sungold F1 seed. They came right out of a packet from Pinetree Garden Seeds, which is the only source I've ever used for this variety. I've only grown 2 plants from this packet and both yielded the expected plant and fruit. Makes me really curious as to what the rest of the seeds in this packet might produce!
This is my 1st year growing any hearts in my garden and having seeds for them in my possession; but the ones that are growing in my garden have matured and have all been true to type, looking nothing like the little things pictured.
So have you tasted any of these fruits yet? All but one of the "orphans" that have shown up in my garden from trades this year have been spitters!
