One option you may want to consider. On the unused tote top, cut off the top 1 inch all around including the handles. Then, the "sleeve" will fit all the way down to the aeration bench inside.

A further option is to take this sleeve and put around the outside, as kind of a girdle. This will provide better UV protection as well as keep the plant roots cooler in the hot Sun.
