Tom,

I too have two or three plants that are brown in the
stem and appear "rotted" just above the soil line.
I'm keeping a close eye on the Omar's Leb. and 2 BW
Sudduths. I can raise the soil level in their containers
and just might try that as a remedy.

Had a generic Brandywine snap from the wind as it was
out being sunned late last week. Soaked it overnight in
water with a pinch of blue stuff, and replanted it the next day in a soil filled cup. Used an Ice Pick to gently drill a
hole in the soil and inserted the stem. In about three
to four weeks, she'll be ready to plant outdoors....JJ61
