husky red cherry saving seeds
I was wondering if it is worth saving seeds from the husky red cherry specimens that are bigger than usual,
or is it a waste of time. Originally it was said they were a patio determinate type.Mine acted semi determinate last year. This year bought plants were listed as indeterminate. |
AFAIK, the Husky series was billed as ISI (Indeterminate Short Internode). Some sellers list it that way and some list it as Det. or Semi Det. For me, they can end up at about 4-5' and somewhat bushy (but still mostly upright growth). Unless you have a plant that is spectacular in some way, I think you are better off planting F1 seeds. It also depends how much effort you are will to put into an experiment.

Experiment is my middle name.
I would try the seeds from the one 2x usual size. |
