Hold on, Just one second. I want to propose that these types of posts to be considered cruel and unusual punishment! Us folks a little north of you keep looking at a lot of wonderful plants with nicely developing tomatoes and we know that we have to be patient! You folks are really rubbing it into our noses- It hurts so bad Not trying to be offending anyone- But- Your ripping my heart (and stomach) out PS Great Looking Sandwich!! Old Chef |

Worth[/QUOTE] ...oh, grilled pizza dough, that sounds awesome. I might just have to try that this weekend. And sorry Northern brethren I didn't mean to torture you, I feel like I've been waiting for things to ripen forever too. Keep in mind that I plant seeds in early March here in SoCal. |

Here is one under construction that I ate last night. Did something different that I will repeat - fried the bacon with sliced jalepenos and seranos I'd grown. You can see them there on top of the Eva Purple Ball tomato. That's basil below as the lettuce was to go on top. Sorry it is hazy. Somehow my iphone camera is hazy and cleaning the outside isn't helping.

Dewayne, nice touch with the peppers going to have to try that
Worth that pork belly looks amazing! extra points for serving on the work bench with a Fat Tire. Today's edition: English muffin, mayo, Red Sails Lettuce, ham, cheddar cheese, Pink Berkeley Tie Dye tomato slices. Served open face. Delicious! |
Thanks.
This reminds me I need to thaw out some Canadian bacon if I have any left. The sandwich looks good. The brine is a teaspoon of salt for each pint of solution you use and the solution is 2 parts 5% white vinegar and 1 part water. Hot peppers and garlic in each jar. Boiling hot pour on fresh cucumbers let seal and refrigerate. They stay crispy for a long long time. Ready in about two weeks to a month. Worth |

Worth, you may want to check your HEB. Our HEB has $1.00 a pound pork loins again this week and they were not advertised in the weekly sale add. They also have $1.00 a pound pork butts that was advertised and that's what I went to the store to buy. I made 16.5 pounds of lean breakfast sausage today for $1.12 a pound.
