26w 6500K CFL's for $7.49 each
Came across this today in one of my e-mails. Don't know what the going price is but thought I would put it out here. So if your thinking of building a new seed lighting setup this year this may be the ticket. Ami

Look what I found at Walmart!
(one is "regular size" and the other is "smaller size". is one better than the other?) |
For a $2.50 price difference, no. There is a one year life expectancy difference but thats about all. 2 for $6.97, it don't get much better than that. My CFL's are dedicated to seedling growing and used only 6 weeks a year so the life expectancy of the light is not a player. Ami

I use two of these and four 3500K lights in a Rubbermaid container to start tomatoes in spring, which was late winter this year. I got mine from http://www.lampsplus.com/products/26-Watt-Daylight-6500K-CFL-Twist-ENERGY-STAR-Light-Bulb__35256.html with free shipping since we do not have WalMart...My 3500k lights are 23 watt bigger bulbs.
