Has anyone pickled cherry/grape tomatoes?

Seems like multicoloured tomatoes pickled using white vinegar/spring water for clarity could be quite lovely either randomly packed or in layers. Has anyone pickled ripe little tomatoes? Did it work? How so? Tasty? (Always has to be tasty...LOL)

Now I am beginning to wonder about the pickling medium being vodka instead of vinegar. Anyone ever try this? I can imagine digging out little multi-colored vodka pickled cherries, dipping a tip in Wussthishere sauce then Old Bay or Lowery's & having a mini Bloody mary on a stick... prolly b/c every joint I am hung together with hurts tonight LOL.
I am dreaming about sparkly clear jars filled with muli-colored cherry tomatoes - Ok, fine. Time for a Tomato Anonymous meeting.

I like the vodka idea. :-) My bones creak too, so does my brain.
Maybe you can adapt the below recipe to ripe cherries.

Fire Balls
14 lb small green cherry tomatoes
4 garlic cloves
4 celery stalks
4 hot red peppers
4 heads dill
1 qt water
1/2 c pickling salt
2 qt white vinegar
Pack 3 1/2 lbs. cherry tomatoes in hot quart jars.
To each quart, add a garlic clove, a celery stalk, a hot red pepper, and a head of dill.
Combine water, pickling salt and vinegar. Boil.
Fill jars to 1/2" from top.
Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.

before the killing hard frost/freeze, I pick all my green maters and pickle them. Mrs Wages Dill Pickle mix, only I add 1 Jalepeno (cut top off) to each jar. As Icelord says they are outstanding.
