2017 Ugly Tomatoes
 

This is my Entry to the 2017 Ugly Tomatoes. It is a "Porter House" Tomato from Burpee Seeds. I picked it this morning to keep the plant from putting any more energy into it.



Early bad weather stuck a cluster of tomato blossoms together, I noticed that, but just let them grow and this weird tomato was the result.

Why did not let it to get ripe ?
Cat faced tomatoes are amusing , to me. My CP grew few of them last year.
Perfectly round tomatoes are not fun.

That is butugly. Looks like a purple calabash I once grew.

This is my first and only Porter House plant. I didn't want the results to be tainted by this Dangerous man eating Tomato. I will sleep better knowing that it is not out there at night growing, planning, and doing strange things.

It looks like there are 3 tomatoes in the picture, but there are only two. It's supposed to be Brandy Boy OP.

:lol:. Really looks like three. That might get ugly.:lol:. Wonder if it will ripen evenly?.

Brandy Boy Won't get ugly. It has a Habit of growing some double fused boat shape fruits.

I've got a Barlow's Best Black that is a montrosity of a fruit. I will post a picture when it gets large enough to scare the youngsters :)

I seem to always have triple fused ugly tomatoes early in the season. IMO they should be culled.

WaltRoos and TexasTomat0 have mine beat by a mile. Mine's just funky looking.

And ... WaltRoos wins. Competition over for the year.

My entry isn't ripe yet and is already quite hideous.

Cole, I would run for the hills. That tomato looks like it came out of one of the 1950s SiFi monster movies.

Well! Maybe the competition is still open. That thing looks like it's devouring a rival.
