She's really keeping it in check isn't she. Great list..... curious how many of each you typically grow?

Usually just 1, a few will have 2. There are 101 varieties but I might not be done yet. |
Quite a list sister

WOW. So you are going 5 Karma's? I don't think I've heard of that one before.

Thanks Robert.:)
OK, so I found the KARMA thread and got a bit more up to speed.
Did you see Karen's post tonight with all the gorgeous colors? |
Yes, BEAUTIFUL! This whole project of yours and Karen's, so impressive! I've been off the boards for many months and had not seen this. Congrats. :)
|
This is The List I wait for yearly to plan my own next year :D:cute:
Very excited to hear your opinions on some of the newer ones Marsha. Is the Everetts Rusty Heart on this list the "real" one or is it the Gail X if I recall you grew last time? Forgive me if I got the facts all wrong about the Gail X, I might've read too many posts and got them mixed up. I grew ERH this year, but most were round, sort of squat almost, and looked very different from online pics of ERH, which were pointy and really rusty colored inside. However, whatever it is that I got from you, is my new must-grow tomato from now on! It is the most prolific tomato ever, and I am growing 1 each in 2 different gardens and both are pumping out toms like Wow! The 3rd one is in a container and not doing as well, it is a large plant so it needs room for sure. At first, the flavor was like Meh, watery and bland. I stopped watering it and now they are so sweet and delicious. Very vigorous and resistant to spider mites, compared to other tomatoes that bit the dust around it. Thanks Marsha! :D |
heck of a list. Here's to. good weather

Thank you. It's so much fun, and I can't even describe how delicious they are, every single one! Yes last year I grew both the ERO, as I am growing again, and the Gail X ERO, which is now named. Its called Green Gables. This year I am growing only the EROxheart, a fantastic tomato I fell in love with last year.
heck of a list. Here's to. good weather
I hope so too. Thank you. |
What? No Not Winsall?
Linda |
What? No Not Winsall?
Linda
Last year I grew it for the seed replenishment. I do love it, but other large pinks are even better. |
What an impressive list! Your enthusiasm and love of tomatoes gets us geared up for growing beautiful ones in the next year. Best of weather for you.
|
Marsha, are you going to grow all those in containers?

Oh my, I'm in trouble.
|
I can't believe you are growing that many in containers especially in Florida. I used to grow lists like that for a few years but it was just too much sugar for a dime trying to keep up with all those varieties and now I'm too old to even think about tackling that many different varieties in one season. For the past few years I am just whittling down my list to keep it at a manageable level. I really do like the crazy names on some of those. Good luck.

I was just wondering when we would see your list earlier today. Voila. I was surprised to see no Rev Michael Keyes because I was so very impressed with it. I got my seeds from your seed offer and it is in my permanent line up.
Since I am on my third batch of tomato juice in the last 2 weeks (when I was supposedly on vacation), planting 100 tomatoes doesn't sound too great to me right now. When I see your pictures later in the year when I am in a tomato desert, I will be oh so jealous. Hope you have a great season. |
Great list, looking for your feedback next year
