Non-food supplies needed

(I've cross-posted this message on that OTHER gardening forum)

I still haven't had a chance to go through the leftover supplies from last year in detail, but but I know we have pens, steak knives, sharpies, some plastic and (ick) Styrofoam cups, a few napkins, a box of heavy-duty aluminum foil, and a notebook for the guest list. I'll go through the box soon and see what else is there.

We're out of plastic tablecloths (we need 10), and we could probably use more plastic utensils (and more napkins).

So far, here's who's providing what:

Cecilia - Packing tape, food scale, 36 reusable plastic plates, plastic trays from frozen meals, directional signs, soap for restrooms, hand sanitizer for spot-a-pot

Greg F. and Family - prize ribbons, tip box. Greg, are you planning to supply pennies and penny cups like last year?

Dave W. - Grilling tools, extension cords, boombox

Annebert - heavy-duty paper plates

Any other suggestions/offers?
P.S. don't forget to bring tomato seeds for trading, if you have them.

Cecelia,

I still have the pennies and I will supply cups. Do we need any meat? I can stop at costco and get hotdog and hamburgers if necessary.

Trash bags maybe.

Greg, Annebert posted on GW that she is bringing some "organic grass-fed beef burgers, probably about 3 lb worth, and buns to go with."

But she's the only one who'se offered to supply meat for grilling so far.

I titled this thread "non-food supplies," so maybe I should start one for food, and more folks will volunteer.

I finally got around to searching the MAGTAG supply bin, and here's what's lefto over from last year:

Cups:
12 styrofoam
12 red plastic
70 or so smaller clear plastic cups (like for wine)

Plates:
32 reusable plastic plates
@20 white paper and/or styrofoam plates - Annebert is bringing 250 more paper plates; will the 20 I have be enough for earlybirds to cut tomatoes on for the tasting? If not, I can buy a small pack.
12 small red plastic plates

Bowls, Trays, etc.
23 styrofoam bowls
26 frozen meal trays/bowls

Plastic Utensils: Have some but need more (esp. forks)

2 boxes Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil
5 lg trash bags - might need more, especially if we separate recyclables
(Could use some large bins/trashcans/boxes to line with trashbags for recycling)
Packing tape
Wasp & hornet spray
Insect repellant spray
Plastic condiment bottle (for olive oil)
Plenty of napkins - don't need any more
Nametags
Guest book/notebook
Sharpies
Pens
2 Extension Cords
Steak knives for cutting tomatoes, and a few 2-pronged serving forks

Oops, I forgot - Trudi mentioned on the OTHER forum that she and Steve would bring plastic utensils.

Cecilia_MD7a August 2, 2009 03:15 PM

Also, we are all out of plastic tablecloths - need 10.

Cecilia_MD7a August 2, 2009 03:17 PM

DUH! I did mention the tablecloths, didn't I? Sorry.

Cecilia_MD7a August 2, 2009 03:18 PM

... But we DON'T need more napkins.

gflynn August 4, 2009 10:19 AM

I can bring red plastic cups to go with the pennies. If you like I will get a roll of material that can be used for table cloths and some duct tape. Since Annbert is bringing burgers I will bring hotdogs and a few packages of mixed chicken.

Hows that sound?
