tomatoes alive plus fertilizer - worth buying?
 

Just saw it's on a saint patricks day sale, along with everything at gardens alive. Is it worth getting?

I tried it last year and the plants did fine. I mixed some into the potting soil when I potted up my seedlings and they grew fat and happy. Can't say anything bad about the stuff, it's a good organic fertilizer in my opinion. It's made from alfalfa meal, bone meal, blood meal, kelp meal, dried molasses, poultry manure, soybean meal, pulverized limestone. All good stuff.

It's good stuff for tomatoes and peppers - I've used it for many years. If there's a sale on it, go for it.

I'm trying this stuff for the first time this year. I'm replacing Tomato Tone with it because I've heard nothing but bad things about the new Tomato Tone. I'm going to use it in earthboxes along with a Actinovate, MycoGrow & Biota Max drench. I researched, and I can't find alot reviews for Tomatoes Alive, but the few that I did find, were very good. I think the cost is off-putting to most people. I used the $25 off coupon and still spent twice as much on it than I ever did on Tomato Tone. I hope I'm not disappointed with the results.

Thanks, Kevin - especially for the sale link. I looked everywhere on their usual catalog and still could not find the sale. I've taken advantage of your info and ordered the 3 lb. size as that come to about $3.20/lb compared to the largest size of 7 lbs., which is about $3.50/lb.

I'm all for saving pennies AND dollars. Including S&H, it comes to a little less than $4 per lb. when I ordered 4.

yeah, that's what I was saying on the pricing, the 3 is the best price
