So how does your garden grow?
I'm beginning to worry - less than a week to MAGTAG and I have lots of green tomatoes but very few ripe ones (except for Sungolds). It figures, the year we decide to move the event a week earlier is the year my tomatoes are really late.
For those of you planning to attend MAGTAG, how are your harvests going? Are we going to have enough ripe ones, or will we have to dine on grilled green tomatoes? |
Cecelia and all,
I don't mean to brag but I just took ten large 10 tomatoes off the plants this morning. My deal is as follows: Cherries: Sungold - ripe Black Cherry - ripe White Current - ripe Full Size: Emily F3 - Lots ripe Kosovo - Lots ripe Olena Ukranian - ripe here and there Cherokee Purple - some ripe Cherokee Green - Some ripe Kellog's Breakfast - some just turning ripe, I picked 2 today Earl's Faux - some just turning ripe, I picked 4 today. Taxi - one ripe and 2 one the way Prue - one just started changing color Prue x Marianna's Peace F3 - one just started to change color. Wes - dead plant I am going to talk to some of the many people I gave plants this year and see if I can get some missing varieties. We will see. Greg |
