Any trick I need to know for trans planting cucumbers in my GH?

Yes make sure they are big enough and don't disturb the root ball one bit.
I just transplanted several today.

Worth how big? Mine have 2 leaves and are 4-5 inches tall.

In a little 4 inch pot that should be good.
Just make sure the root ball doesn't fall apart when you take them out.

Totally agree with Worth. Don't disturb the root ball. I like to wait til they are larger than just two leaves and have been outside hardening off for at least a week so they form a better root ball and are not shocked when set outside. I would also mulch them right after planting or even before and set them out late in the evening or just before a light rain.

Mine were starting to put out their first tendril.
Then it rained 7 inches.:lol:

Okay I just walked outside to check on something.
During the flash flood some of my cucumber plants washed[CODE][/CODE] out of the trays and into the yard.
No big deal.
Yesterday I found one of the plants laying in the yard with all of its roots washed clean it had set there for at least a day.
I picked it up and stuck it in one of the raised beds.
I just checked on it and it is doing fine so far.
What they dont like is to have the roots tore up like you can a tomato plant.

Thanks I will proceed under your advice.

I plan to grow cukes up strings in the GH between the tomatoes to help shade it this year. We shall see how it goes. Glad I saw the don't tear the roots thing. I normally start them in ground but decided to start early this year in pots and surely would have ruined them.

Okay to justify my statements I have to say it is from experience several times not something I am regurgitating off the internet.
Not that I feel I have to justify them it is just so folks know this.
Some time ago before I knew I tried two in one 4 inch container like I have done tomato plants before.
I would just rip the plants apart and put them in the ground.
Tomatoes do fine I killed every one of my cucumber plants doing this.
Then some time later I got the bright idea I could dig some up and move them.
This didn't work either.:lol:
Some of my pots had little roots growing out the bottom and those got pulled of by just removing them from the container but that didn't seem to hurt them.
