Where can I get Wild Maine Blueberry Bushes?
I know NJ is a great state for growing blueberries, and we do have varieties that do well here, but I just love wild Maine Blueberries. Does anyone know a nursery that sells them? I've searched the internet far and wide and at least in my searches, couldn't find anyone selling them.

Antoinette,
Check out Fedco in ME. I believe what you are looking for is "Lowbush"as a wild ME blueberry. http://www.fedcoseeds.com/trees/search.php?listname=Blueberry |
oh great, thanks James! Looks like exactly what I want, I'll be ordering some :)

Another thought might be "Friendship" blueberry. It is a half high with small fruit loaded with flavor. Popular around here. A little easier on your back too!

I have Friendship (along with about 50 other varieties), an excellent, flavorful blueberry.
I also have wild "low sweet" blueberries (Vaccinium angustifolium), which is the main Maine crop. There isn't anything that matches the sweetness of these. Tormato |

Can you recommend a supplier/nursery in MA.... not finding any of the Friendship variety locally. Thanks Michael |

And some good info on the background of this variety as well. Carolyn |
Thanks Carloyn. (Always) Appreciate your thoughtfulness.
