rabbit manure

What can I store my rabbit poo in till next year? Just a (new) trash can?

Also. I was thinking about doing something so let me run it by you guys.

I have seen lots of worm poo under the tree next to my house. Can I pick this up and use it?

Good question, I was going to ask a similar one. I'm storing rabbit manure in a heavy duty (contractor) garbage bag and then placing it into a regular plastic garbage can with a lid, to keep it dry. I've noticed the manure is getting moldy, I think too much heat and condensation. I've started to air the manure out on dry days.

Any problems using the manure in the future?

Why can't you add it to your soil immediately? I'd pull the mulch back, add it as a top dressing, and then return the mulch.

I was planning on using my pile for fall planted garlic. I was going to work it into the ground a week or two prior to planting the cloves.

The mold will not hurt the rabbit manure.

If anything, it is likely to make the nutrients
in it available sooner than they would have
been without it.

Thanks Dice!

Warren, sorry if I stole your thread, it was not my intention.
