Ozark Pink?
Has anyone grown Ozark Pink? It was developed to withstand heat and other stresses, and it sounds like it might do well in my climate. But I haven’t found any info on how it tastes. Thanks

It would probably do well in a hot Aussie Summer too. lol

I think the flavor should be fine - similar to Arkansas Traveler. Southern Exposure explains its pedigree. Tad Smith used it in crosses to eliminate the green shoulders that some tomatoes exhibit.

It is a great tomato with excellent flavor!

I've grown it several times. It is basically a less refined Arkansas Traveler. IMO, Burgundy Traveler is an improvement on both. Flavor is not exceptional for any of the three but all are decent.

Burgundy Traveler
Tried my first Burgundy Traveler today and wasn't expecting much due to all the rain but it was really good. Healthy plant and my second variety to ripen. Will see how it holds up in the heat and then the cool weather but it looks promising so far.
Was the taste exceptional? For a fairly early tomato, yeah it was :) |
