No roundup in my yard, the wind never really stops here and I don't spray any herbicides, all pellets.
You can mix some and put it in a paint roller pan and roll it on with a paint roller.;)

There's actually a product that is a roller on a long handle, and the handle is hollow, meant to be filled with herbicide.

I should update this here. When I put the straw all around the pile inside the fenced area I was in hopes it would keep the weeds out. I am happy to say it has done it's job. I have not seen any weeds popping up into my compost heap.

I also have a volunteer plant growing in my compost too. I think it's some sort of squash so I think it's healthy compost underneath.

I had a huge kale "tree" growing in one of my compost piles lol. I planted a zucchini in a mound of almost finished compost, it is getting big. If only I can keep the SVB away.

Glad your solution for the weeds is working!

I should add to previous post that I planted the zucchini sort of as an experiment. The compost is pretty much ready, I did no sifting. I never have any luck with zucchini, but I just want to see how big this thing will get. I am spraying every other day with spinosad to keep the SVB away. We'll see.

That's cool on the zuchinni, good luck with that one. A kale tree? Now I'd love to see something like that. :D
