Chasing Campbell

Just became a project of mine.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Thompson_Dorrance

Shoot, they make good soup ... and rely on good tomatoes. I assume that they spent many an hour chasing the perfect tomato and so I thought that it would be interesting to chase them.

J.T.D. from Victory got me started ... then I found more. All have seemed to be good tomatoes looking for a use. Just an interesting chase. More to follow but have you found anything along this line?

But it goes kind of crazy from G 10132, Acc # PI 302462 70AI, to K.C. 146 ( Acc # PI 303749 65AI ) to Early Harvest ( Acc # PI 600908 05GI).

Just thought that it would be interesting to follow the soup.

Can you give additional details about 1138. Determinate? Yield, disease resistance, flavor, other details. It looks very good.

8-10 ounce fruit, regular leaf, 3-4 ft tall, great taste, ( disease) hangs tough here in NE GA, loads up .... PM me with address.

Very interesting theme project you've got going there!!!!!! Only one I've grown was 1327..... found it to be just "so-so".

Good luck....keep us posted.
