for whom the belle tolls

2 plants that were supposed to be cajun belle turned out to be a thin skinned mild green frying pepper instead.
Somebody must have swapped labels before I bought them.

I have gotten off varieties when buying pepper seeds. I've seen it in my own gardens too. Peppers seem to cross pollinate very easily.

ya. it happens with seeds too. I have "cherry bombs" and mexibells" they all look like "time bomb" peppers.

I had hot cherry peppers once, the 1st crop wasn't hot at all ,they were sweet.
The second crop I picked red just before a frost hit, they made me cry twice.
I had a bell pepper growing in the house years ago and it had a retarded pepper
from not being pollinated,it had no seeds and was small and hot.So even sweet bell peppers have the capability of being hot.
