It looks delicious.

How tall is the plant?

looks great Michael!

Here is the description from Bill Minkey, who listed this variety at SSE 2006 Yearbook:
75 days, det., rugosa foliage, small to medium white fruit with yellow tint, crack res., needs no staking, flattish, very sweet, outstanding flavor, productive, my favorite white tomato, from CV To1 96
yes, what is the plant size?

Tania-disagree with Bill on no staking, at least my plant-it really should be in a cage. I had seen Bill's description before. Dont know if anyone else is offering it.

Mine needed staking last summer and still broke 2/3 of it off in a wind storm. I loved the taste, but it was very late and not very productive for me....Of course losing 2 of the 3 main branches could have hampered productivity !

Jeanne-What color was your fruit? Was your plant 5 feet tall also?

montanamato January 21, 2007 02:04 PM

Michael...My fruit was lemmony yellow when ripe, looks just like your photo....I had never grown a "white" before and didn't know what to expect...My plant was definately over 3 ft , but don't think it made 4....My source for seeds was Bill....I had to keep the container in the kitchen to get the last few to ripen in November and still didn't get enough seed to offer it this year in the SSE catalog....It is much better tasting than any yellow I have grown before...I will be interested in your opinion of the taste as you have grown others similar to it and I have not...

White bush, to my palate, has a very complex taste-fruity, almost tropical fruity like many of the yellows-I really wonder if this could be golden dwarf champion-the plant looks like it, the fruit looks like it and it tastes like it. GDC may be a little more golden, but I wonder if that is because I am growing white bush in the greenhouse. If wb isnt gdc, its a first cousin!

I edited this post because in thinking about gdc vs wb, gdc is more golden in color.

Very nice! I love to use the Dwarfs to get the season started, easy to control. I think I need to order this one.-Rena

Rena-Pm me your address and I will send you a seed sample. I saved the first fruit and its funny, but there was very little seed to get. But I have a few seed I can send you. I will be happy to do so.

Michael...I was going to mention that...Even the last fruits of the year had very few seeds...

Hmm, maybe my coffee has yet to kick in - but I keep going back to the pic in first post - and it just doesn't look the right colour??? I have seed for White Bush - some of the first I traded for - but yet to grow out - any pics of the plant?

sirtanon April 23, 2007 10:41 AM

I see RED fruit in that photo.. is it just me?

mdvpc April 23, 2007 12:24 PM

Sirtanon-the link for white bush is wrong-dont know what happened-that is a photo of my grumpy f2. I will try and fix it this evening.
