Lotsa splitting with these once we got rain. Seemed late for such a small fruit. Fruits weigh 4-7 oz.

That's it for the B's- Black Mountain Pink was pulled early as was Burning Spear, which was another one that had BER on every fruit.:(

No, I didn't grow the Franchi pear this year. Each post has the name of the tomato as the title.

Captain Lucky
 

Captain Lucky was late here and didn't produce well. It stayed very short and produced 7 fruits ranging in size from 11 to 17 oz. They had a fair amount of cracking issues. Copper River was an easier tricolor for me to grow.

Holding up well so far - only 1 big harvest! I can't wait to get over-run for the 1st time. Ask me again in a month when I am sorting tomatoes in my sleep!

Thanks to Ron, I had a lot of fun growing out 5 of these plants this season. They all showed the same plant habit, leaves and 0.6 oz. cherry-sized fruits which are gorgeous in the sun! The taste was excellent and worth waiting for but when we started to get rain concentric cracking while the fruits were still green put a halt to being able to enjoy them. DH and I liked them so much that I may try growing them on black plastic next year so I can control the watering.

This tomato is a real beauty and still hasn't been identified. Thanks for sharing, Joe! It's not Nyagous, nor is it Cherokee Purple. Whatever it is, it's productive and tasty! Sizes from 4 to 18 oz. this year. So pretty on the plate.:yes:

This one was supposed to be sweet, but it wasn't at all for me.:no:Others might really enjoy these 6-14 oz. dark fruits which had more of an earthy flavor.

Thanks for sharing, Lurley! This one was a winner! The plant stays shortish but is dense and bushy and produces loads of 14-30 oz. tricolor beauties. It's mild, juicy and sweet and is my favorite tricolor so far. The pictures don't do it justice- it's really gorgeous.
