Would you like these?

These are cannisters for diabetic test strips. They have a hinged lid and are approximately 2 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter. I was saving them to store saved seeds in, but wound up not saving seeds. I think they are air tight and would be easy to label. I have about a dozen or so.

If you would like them, claim them here (be the first) and then PM me your mailing address. I'll put them in the mail to you. Please be in the U.S.

Those would work well for seeds. PM sent.

Mike, My "One Touch" strips come in black canisters like your white canisters. I'm sure the white is better for storing seeds. I started keeping one empty canister and used test strips and needles go into it. When I empty a new canister, the one with used strips goes in the trash.

Since I changed my eating habits and exercise habits, I'm beginning to wonder if I should continue testing. My blood glucose never reads over 110.

I would check with your doctor. Those sound like good numbers.

Don, do you take meds as well or is it all diet an exercise ?

It's just diet and exercise. If I know I'm about to eat something with a high white flour or sugar content, I may take a metformine tablet to encourage my body to process the glucose more efficiently. My endocrinologist prefers to prescribe metformine for scheduled use. I prefer to take it as needed. My yearly checkup, blood test will be mid November. I expect my A1C to be 5.9. The largest contributor to my low A1C was losing fifty lbs. in about six months by changing my eating habits and exercise. I lost the weight about three years ago and typically gain and lose a couple lbs. now.

I had to cut back on my exercise this summer because 100 degree temps while exercising was really hard on my old body. It may be reflected a little in my A1C. With cooler weather, my exercise will increase.
