does anybody use the Square POS at markets or when you sell plants/veg? how so you find it to be? glitchy or a great service?

It's very good as long as you have cell service.

I've used it for a bit over a year. It's always worked great for me. Much better than the PayPal thing. You can pick up a Square reader at Wal-mart and then you get a rebate from Square. Quicker than waiting for it to be sent.

Thanks Carol. I actually did sign up for it a couple days ago but thought I would still ask before I started using it. I saw a few disgruntled reviews on their experience of the system and I was a bit worried about it.

One thing about the little device -- Be sure to keep it clean. Don't just put it in your apron pocket between uses. I put mine in a small zip bag in my money box. If you get dirt in where the cards swipe, that's when you will be having issues with it. For a while I was still able to get the PP reader to work if I ran a hanky thru the slot before I tried to swipe. But eventually it wouldn't even connect to PP. So far the Square reader has worker fine with 1 exception - 2 weeks ago it wouldn't work until I did an app update on my phone. So update square whenever it's suggested.
