Raised bed Question?

On my raised bed I have my supports protruding above my bed. My question is this? Should I trim these Flush with the Bed? Thanks in advance for the answer, Beale.

I find these useful to keep the hose from dragging across the bed. Just me.

Sorry I missed this, here is what I did I cut 3 4"X4"X10' posts in half and used them to build the frame around.
The 4X4's sticking up make it handy for all sorts of things like covering your plants or what ever.

Here is a drawing of the side view.
When I first posted a real life picture some folks said the soil would was up the bottom.
Well it did spill out but it has stayed in place and it has proven to be a nice set up.
Plus the bed is up nice and high so you dont break your back leaning over.

Well then should I not have have my raised bed sitting on the ground? I plan on using a ground cover, Beale.

No what you did is fine I just thought I would post what I did and how it worked out.
And was replying to the statement you made about the braces sticking up.

Bored to death because I cant go out side.

It was 70f today and will be 60f Wed. I will try to finish bed two then. Then we have a Chance of Rain the rest of the week and down to the 40's, Beale.

Nice garden!

Mine are flush, but if I had it to do over again, I would have left them sticking above the box so I could attach a trellis to them without having to make something separate.

As I'm building some raised beds right now, this is something I will have to think about in the design.
