I am loving these Victorian Posy pansies so much right now. I grew them from seed.

I have a huge soft spot for pansies or violets of any kind. Those are wonderful!

SpookyShoe May 1, 2019 05:04 PM

Pansies are very cheerful. Them and yellow daffodils.

Chrysanthemums are well associated with Mothers Day here. Here are two that the kids gave to the Mrs last year. These survived, most just get thrown out

Here mums are associated with football season and Thanksgiving.

These grow best for me in dappled sun or partial shade.

Those are really cute. From seed or plants?

SpookyShoe May 18, 2019 06:49 PM

Plants. I don't grow from seed unless it's the only way I can get a particular variety of plant.

I have five plants, this is the one that's blooming most profusely now. But the others will be in blue any day now. I'm pretty sure The name of this variety is Inca Gold, I lost the tag many years ago.

My 31 yr old son gave this lily to my wife for Mothers Day when he was a senior in high school, so it is about 13 yrs old, and still producing beautiful orange blossoms.

Wow, what a beautiful, intense coloration.

Of course I don't know the variety. I'm pretty sure the yellow and white one I posted a few posts ago is called Aztec Gold, not Inca Gold as I said before.

Beautiful!
