Please be respectful to each other. I don't want to have to intervene in this thread again.

I think it might be a good idea for you to go to Tania's webpage and check out the varieties you bought seeds for to see what they should be.

Of course that's going to be difficult for the ones where she's changed the names.

I see you got Todd County Amish and there's also Amish Potato Leaf, and I introduced both of those and I cringe when I see what she wrote as history for both, aside from trueness of seed.

There are also several others I introduced at her site and again, her made up histories just plain make me very upset.

Here's a link to Tania's webpage if you don't already have it:

Since you know the names of the varieties for which you bought seed I think it's best to go down on the Home Page to where you see a link that says searching by the alphabetical method.

Hope that helps.

Maybury Cherry? Is that the one that Lisa claims Barney Fife confiscated from Ernest T. Bass's garden of contraband?

stonysoilseeds April 26, 2012 07:34 AM

thank you carolyn that does help i ordered about 20 varieties from Tattiana this Feb i am excited to be growing.. i discovered her site from SSE after i already ordered from Lisa

hi travis i correct the spelling it is Mayberry Cherry but nevertheless i did laugh at bthe Barney fife remark.... she left out the most important point that it was goober and gomer that smugled the seed to begin with

babice April 26, 2012 10:48 AM

LOL! I think you're both wrong! I think it was BARNEY who kept the seed in his pocket! 8-)

I did finally get my ordered seed from said culprit on Monday. Will be seeding that this weekend. I got a ton of heirloom seeds I ordered from bribbon the other day. I purposely got Purple Dog Creek from both places just out of curiousity (plus I was afraid I wouldn't get it from the former in time). If they both germinate, it'll be interesting to compare them.

But wasn't he only allowed to carry 1 seed?

Do I hear fictitious tomato histories?

Barbee! :lol::lol::lol:
The sad thing is that I can hear it in my head like I heard it yesterday instead of years ago.

ROFLOL! :)) Stop it! Stop it! I have tears in my eyes!! Ooo, oooo, STOP! My stomach hurts! I love Barney.

RebelRidin May 4, 2012 10:05 PM

:))There will never be another Barney Fife.

I keep crossing my fingers that the "lets do a remake" insanity in Hollywood stays clear of Mayberry.
