Thanks Carol:) .

Celtic,
She is correct. I had a lot of people waiting on my list being for sale because I had all the pics and descriptions up at that time. I would not start selling until all the germination tests were done. In fact, I had low germination(70-75%) on Cherokee Green seeds that by looking you would think were perfectly fine so I could not sell them. I decided to make them an extra bonus for anyone who wanted them(knowing about the low germination) since it was way more than I needed to save for growing again myself.

Sorry Remy, I got you and Tania mixed up. But the thought was right anyway.

Yup, I have several varieties with the same problem too. Processed the same way at roughly the same time as the varieties that germinated near perfect.

Oh well, there's always next year for those varieties.

Carol,
You should of never said anything! I didn't even notice:lol:.
I was just happy you responded since I was not home today to write a response.

Thanks,
I have noticed the same thing in seeds I collect. Every so often I get a batch with low germination. Interesting collection seed I order a few I never grown (good blurbs about each)

Yesterday I detoured from the Buffalo Airport to Remy's place of work - the now world / tomatoville famous Wegman's home of those great Tomato bags! - on my way home from St. Louis. We had been delayed since my travel companion's bag had not made it all the way to Buffalo from St. Louis.... (It stopped off to see the sights somewhere on route, presumably beautiful Detroit, or so we were told.) and amazingly, there was Remy on her day off, sitting on a bench out front, waiting for me still!!!!! Gotta love the service this gal provides! Got my order(again, thank you thank you thank you Remy-girl! You are a goddess!), had a great chat and caught up on the TV news, and then hit the road to the border and then home.

I'm hoping to start allot of those seeds in the next few days. Not sure where I'm going to plant them yet....hahaha. Need to find out that pretty soon, I should imagine.....duh!!!!

So that's now 2 beyond full service orders from the Goddess of The Sample Seed Shop! She's batting 1.000 so far....and I'd vote for all-star status!

Thanks Remy!!!!!

Zana,
You are much too kind!! You know I would come meet you any time. Hopefully next time it is longer, and we can do some shopping or lunch together.

Celtic,
I'm happy you liked the blurbs. A few friends have checked out the site and said it sounded like me and not a normal catalog. So I'm glad my "voice" is coming through.

oooooo, Cherokee Green seeds as a bonus! Perhaps I need to order VERY soon for next year, lol!;)

I just found this thread. What nice descriptions, so of course I had to order! I usually grow six or 700 seedlings to sell every year, most of them are preorders, so I like to offer new varieties. You have some very nice choices. Looking forward to growing them out next year. I am in zone five.

Hi Joan,
Wow, you sell a lot of plants! Glad I could help add variety to your seedlings.
I'm surprised by zone 5. I thought Reno was much warmer.

She must be at a high elevation! Just got an e-mail saying my order shipped today, WOOHOO!!! Glad I'm not the only one ordering for next year... in JULY!!!

POAJoan July 28, 2010 12:02 AM

Thanks for the email Remy telling me my seeds were already shipped-WOW.
Yes, we are outside Reno at 5600 feet with nothing between us and the top of Peavine mountain where winds of 70-80 miles an hour are not uncommon and we have officially clocked 105. Believe me, the tomatoes that do survive are hardy. :-)

Shlacm,
You would be surprised how many people are thinking ahead. You must of been the order with all tomatoes. The Cherokee Greens are all gone, but I think I still sent you a green when ripe which is weird since I didn't know who ordered. I think I mentioned earlier that I like to play psychic seed bonus. Sometimes I'm right on the money.

Joan,
Wow, now it all makes sense. We get storms whipping through here because of the lake sometimes, and it can get up to 60-70mph a few times a year. I just can't imagine windier than that!
Remy
