Looking really good Karen, I'd like to try some once you release them!! I can appreciate all the work that goes into this project, after I tried crossing some cherry tomatoes. Do you use a magnifying glass when you do it?
I used to be able to do it without glasses but certainly not anymore.. ;) Micros are pretty tricky. Takes a steady hand and just take your time. If I’m rushing is when I break off stigmas. I would be delighted for you to grow something of mine Dan :) Some of my hearts can get pretty big and toss off some early megablooms but not 10.8 pounds worth I’m sure. I’ll be sure to remember you when these are ready to try if you are interested KarenO |

And a gwr gs potato leaf dwarf also mini beefsteak size on a similar 20” plant. Definately to F5 for this one
Tangy and sweet fruity flavour. Quite excellent, especially in a small dwarf KarenO |
Wow I'm impressed Karen, both are beautiful. Grats on the progress :)

The plant in the background is beautiful. How do you carry all your selections and developments to the higher "F" stages? You constantly crank out fascinating new stuff!

Thank you, I am very pleased with both the fruit and the plants themselves which remain very healthy in my hot Humid little greenhouse since March. As always I’m trying to do something original and these really are ticking all the boxes of my goals for this project so onward to stablize, not done yet :) KarenO |
Karen your tomatoes are just beautiful! Thanks for sharing your progress. I especially like that last GWR stripe.
Another question-do you find your micros do better/are more productive in real summer sunlight vs inside or in your greenhouse? Thanks, Heide |

These are about 20” and my goal is more if a good tomato on a small dwarf, not necessarily micro. Certainly any tomato will do better in natural sunlight and good conditions that just can’t be matched indoors no matter what artificial light is used I think K |

Something new from me for my next round of little dwarfs.
This is An F1 micro of mine with an upright habit about 5” tall. About to bloom 36 days from seeding. Interesting miniature plants with very short internodes but with fairly normal structure and leaves and very early to bloom. Crossing these to one of my great tasting stripes like emerald city and / or yellow brick road will be the next step. Short and sweet And early. Hopefully. ... I think it’s fun to work with my own lines now that I have them. Plenty of pics to come for 2021 and the sweet baby Jade PL micro gwr cherry is growing at F7 so I’ll start a new thread for the 2021 season. KarenO |
Looking good Karen :).

Thank you Linda.
I have fruit set now on that little F1 I bred at 40 days from sowing seed and I like the upright and open habit, I’m not partial to the very rugose bunched up forms common in extreme dwarfs and although that plant is only about 6” tall it looks pretty normal, just miniature. . It’s not the final result but another building block for the future with my preferred structure and the early flowering traits I need I think it will become useful. KarenO |
Just catching up with this wonderful thread. You go, girl!:D
