It started snowing this morning.C. pubescens CAP 217 aka Hyperpube on snow.Although pubescens varieties are resistant to mild frost this photo is just a mis en scene!I moved it into garage 2 weeks ago.

In last 2 weeks temp dropped down to -2C twice and this morning it started snowing. This chilli in ground is still alive!Needless to say all the others in garden chinense, annuum, baccatum varieties have died before. It seems C. annuum 'Royal Black' is resistant to mild frost.

Interesting posts. I like your peppers. I guess I'm never thought about it snowing in Turkey.

Second day in snow, Royal Black is still alive!

Thats just how Royalty roll!

I have to admit I am extremely shocked and impressed by seeing that kind of cold resistance in a pepper. If it was a brassica sure, that is pretty common, but a pepper? Quite astonishing.
