Have you gotten more than a double, a double on a giant would be around 5 to six pounds approximately. That's a nice looking tomato, I'd be interested in seeing it on the scale. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Biscuit- I never did have any megablooms on this plant, but with a triple or quad, this would be a strong candidate for a really heavy one. I'll weigh it tomorrow in the lab!! Thanks! |

Here are a few pictures of the ripe and cut fruit. Very meaty, almost no seeds! Flavor was exceptional, not tart. Plant is vigorous and very disease resistant so far....
One of the fruit I am naming "Goat Butt" for obvious reasons :) |

Here are the weights of the double and also a single. 2 lbs, 13 oz and 1 lb, 15 oz respectively.

Thanks Karen, I now have more appreciation for your ability to breed cherry tomatoes, the stigmas are so tiny, like little hairs, but I finally got some to take, yah!

It was complete pollination, not sure what u r referring too. Maybe some other blossom,? |
Those little bulbous green bubbles sticking out all around? Those are parts of the fused stigma that did not swell to their potential. It doesn't matter, it looks like you got 5 or more full fused fruit there, and got a great result! It is almost impossible to fully pollinate a megabloom like that. Congrats!! What was the weight?

Those green things all came out from inside, after the fruit was almost fully grown, I don't really know what causes it. |
