I got 4/6. Very happy with the seeds.

I planted 2 or 3 to a cell and did not cull any of what came up, I ended up giving quite a few away to neighbors and friends. Easily 90% germination for me.
|
My germination was 5/5.

Wow, thanks for the reports so far, maybe it's not as bad as I thought.
It's astounding how many of the flowers do eventually become fruit, not all of course. And what I think is neat, is the leaves that have formed at the ends of the trusses.

Mine did the same, most blossoms grew fruit too. But I use my favorite toy on my blossoms, a Vegibee. |
I think I had 2 of 3, or 3 of 3, can't remember for sure but I know I got at least 2 of 3.

That's great. I would welcome other reports too. |
I had 3 of 5 germinate.

One out of 3 seeds germinated. Plant is doing well being grown in a 10 gallon container. Main problem is splitting.

I had 3 out of 3 germinated. 2 are growing nicely, 1 was killed by a squirrel (I seeded them mach later than the rest and seedlings were small). Really unusual looking plant. Beautiful too.
|
3 out of 3 germinated for me; healthy plant, multiflora...abundant fruit, some splitting, but not much of a problem, excellent taste! Thanks!

Excellent germination, excellent taste, but where are the tomatoes? I picked everything that had any sign of colour before a big rain was forecast and that must have been ten days ago and have been waiting and waiting for more fruit. Other plants are producing and turning colour, but RA just has green fruit......

2/2 grew for me. One in my garden and one for my daughter. Lots of flowers but not good fruit set. Probably because of unusual hot weather in early summer. Will grow it again.
|
Linda and Betty, interesting about the low fruit set. I didnt have that problem, but I grow when its not so hot. Glad to hear that the seeds seem to be good.
My fruit set is helped with my vegibee. |
I am blaming the poor set on the hot temperatures. It's not suppose to be 90's in June when tomatoes are blooming. It has been hot and dry all summer, no measurable rain since June 28. And no rain in sight for the near future. Was 90 today, but will only be 84 tomorrow then back up in the low 90's for the week end. I do have other tomatoes but not as many as should have set. And I do go out and tap the stems for pollination.
