I think you should repost the tomato vibrator pics.........................
I am bored with Winter    |
This is what I have in mind:
I am inviting friends over for Christmas dinner. For the dinner feast, I will be putting all these tomato plants on the table both as decorations and as part of the menu. I think it would be very memorable and lots of fun for the guests to fresh pick the different varieties of tomatoes for their own salade de jour. I do have to tell the guests that Lime Green Salad is OK to eat green. You guys may want to give this a try. dcarch  |
Have you eaten any ???
Flavor reports for indoor homegrown ??? ~ Tom |
Cool setting. Am I at the head of the table. No?
And I should warn you, I like turkey. Alot! And put the champagne cooler, with French stuff, of course, within easy reach. You probably even have snow for a white Christmas. Grub, who hasn't checked your locale yet :) |
Well that is lovely! I now wish I were invited over to your house for Christmas! I'm so happy you showed the Florida Petite plants. Five of mine have germinated today. Mine certainly won't be ready for Christmas dinner but now I know what to expect. Good growing and happy holidays to you!!!

That is a brilliant idea! I love it and I hope your guests appreciate that special treat.
|
Wow! That is cool. I may have to copy that idea and add in a potted pepper as well.
|
Oh myyyyy!!! You go, girl! That is spectacular! The table setting--was this a trial run, or what? Those look like salads ready for the 'maters and those wine glasses are full. A nice ham would be good for Christmas. I'll sit at Grub's end of the table and try some of the turkey, too.

Bottling ------------- My desires. (pic heavy)
I have always desire to grow tomatoes indoors. I also desire not to have the house looking like a messy farm. So I have been playing with a few ideas to dress things up a little.
Here is a quick and inexpensive way to make use of some empty pop bottles to pot plants. I think the pictures should be self-explanatory. For finishes, there are many different spray-on texturizing paints which can simulate stone marble, etc. Check out your local H. Depot and art supply stores. dcarch |

WOW that’s nice.
I had tomatoes in a vase for a while but I found the thing to be to long and narrow. That and the fact t figured I should return it to its rightful owner. Here are a few pictures of it. http://oi.uchicago.edu/OI/IRAQ/dbfiles/objects/14_2.htm Worth |

Worth1- you are precious. |
Excellent!!
Do they have any drainage? Which tomatoes are you growing in these? |
Have you nothing better to do. Get back to work.
Great stuff. :D |
Tania, Worth, garnetmoth, thanks for your kind words.
Excellent!! Do they have any drainage? Which tomatoes are you growing in these?
Some I have drain holes and some not. Over watering has not been a problem for me. They are: Silvery Fir Tree, Sophie’s Choice and Florida Petité. I have a few other kinds growing. BTW, the ones with holes are meant to be hanging “baskets” The holes are easily made using simply a hole punch.
Have you nothing better to do. Get back to work. Great stuff. :D
Mantis, actually, we have nothing better to do except clearing snow once in a while. BTW, we hate you guys for posting all those incredible tomato pictures. Our turn will come soon!  dcarch |
