I told my wife the other day that we would never again be without Pro Mix and Potting Mix. The same holds true for starting trays/cells, pots, gardening books, poisons, fertilizers, etc...

We have began converting a 14' x 21' building into a gardening building/barn/shed. It was built to hold our masonry equipment, but that is no longer needed. So, we have 14x21 to play with. There are three walls, roof, and a dirt floor. The west wall is open - as was needed for the masonry equipment. I'm unsure if I want to close it in or not. We have the materials on hand.

One area will be for what Worth wrote about above. An area to store Pro and Potting mix. I need to read up on the best ways of storing them.

Oh Salt, I envy you. Build yourself a nice big potting bench with some of those materials. When I have my stocks of potting mix, starter mix, D.E., compost, homemade hole planting mix (eggshells, kelp meal, rock dust, epsom salts, alfalfa meal, dry molasses etc. etc. etc.) all available for work in the spring (or anytime, really), I get the same sense of satisfaction as having a well stocked pantry!
