Hi tomatoe addict,. If I was you I would change my password on the computer just to be safe if he has hacked into your computer and go back on your history to a safe date to retrieve your details

I saw the news on a FB group and was flabbergasted at this guy's behavior. So unprofessional and outright nasty. How sad it is that some people have the need to put others down and even destroy others' businesses.
It's not going to bring him anything good long term, but you will emerge as a winner.
Hoping and praying for a swift solution!

He's here: http://www.tomatogeeks.com/ Clicking on "contact us" brings you to a contact form. I sent a message about what I think about this.

He also "borrows" other sites pictures and doesn't always give credit for them.

tomatoaddict January 18, 2017 05:29 PM

He has a history of using other's photos. I know he was giving out free copies in pdf form of Craig's book. (How about that?) Giving someone's hard work out for free. He's a jerk. He's a terrible human being. I do think if I had been a man and not a woman sitting here in a cast, he wouldn't have done it. He's the type of bully that goes after easy targets.

Having looked over his site, I spotted several tomatoes that were sporting the exact photos from Terry's site, as well as the narrative descriptions which were lifted verbatim.

What a rat.:evil::x

I'm actually emotionally having a hard time wrapping my head around this. I am not used to dealing with truly evil people. Jerry has no problem taking any photo or any copy from anyone if he needs it. Without giving them the proper credit either. I just hope that anyone here that reads this does not support his business and leaves his group Tomato Geeks. He will never do a thing for you that doesn't benefit himself. Save yourself the misery.

Is shopify or wordpress an option to setup shop until you can get things running?

tomatoaddict January 18, 2017 08:15 PM

Contact him via attorney with a takedown cease and desist letter and FTP transfer of your site and all content to you on your own hosting service.

tomatoaddict January 18, 2017 11:16 PM

I sent him an email saying to take down my photos and that he does not have persmission to use it. I believe he deleted all my content so I don't know if it can be salvaged.

Would Facebook consider his violations of copyright and plagiary sufficient to take his FB account down?

tomatoaddict January 19, 2017 12:59 PM

Update: So after some back and forth emailing with Jerry, he did end up sending me all the files for my site which did in fact belong to me. I do not know his reason but I am sure it was not from the goodness of his heart. Something spooked him for sure. Maybe it was the pressure he was getting, maybe it was legal problems, not sure but I did want to let everyone know.
My opinion of him stands. He is not a trustworthy person and everyone should use caution when dealing with him. Thank you for the support and any pressure you applied to him on my behalf. I will be working on the site this weekend and hopefully it will be back up by next week. I now consider this case with Jerry Harrell closed.

I tried to post a nasty message but it gets reviewed before it is posted, lol oh well.

Good News, Terry.
I hope you now can concentrate on recuperating your ankle and your Website.
