Carolyn I was trying to figure out how to extend my welding leads the ground one is no big deal the TIG hose and line is.
I went to check on the prices and for a cord I could make into an extension cord and they wanted $3.50 a foot.
I went to an electrical supply house they used to have here in town and asked the guy what he had he told me and how much a foot.
I told him I will take the whole roll I dont care how long it is.
That cord is about 3 times bigger than it needs to be.

I agree on Tramontina. I have a set just like your right front one and a nice little covered saucepan. Heck of a bang for the buck. Is there better cookware? Yes. But nowhere near the price.

Now, the Weatherby I would have taken in a heartbeat...

Three reasons I didn't take the rifle the cost of the brass is over the top.
They eat powder like it is going out of style.
He went nuts a few years ago and bought 400 guns in about two years.
Right before that he called me nuts for having 20.
Here I am testing to see if just (some) of my cast iron collection fits on it.
Who in their right mind could be so excited over a cook top.:dizzy:
My wok even fits nicely on it.

Nice lookin unit Worth. I wish I had the space for one like that when I redid my kitchen, but had to settle for a 30" model.

Thanks Steve.
Some times you just have to compromise and today I decided to do just that.
If I put the oven by itself I was going to use up a ton of much needed cabinet space and or counter top space.
It also meant when I put it where the other stove was I was going to lose my ability to have a stove top for some time.
That and a few more reasons I decided to install the darn thing under the cook top.
Yes I have looked at the literature and I can do this.

Still not for sure though and not in any hurry.
Even if it turns out I dont like it doesn't mean I cant change it.

I have read on line from love it to hate it.

I stopped by the propane place today and got the low down on what I need to do.
I was very surprised at the way they treated me.
No down talking, you know what you are doing, and here is what you need to do.
If you only have one appliance you need the propane tank that you get for BBQ grills any size, and a single stage regulator that goes on them.
Go from this to the regulator that comes with the cook top and it is a done deal.
Not only that they have everything I need there to do what I need to do.
Unlike Lowes and HD that you have to order crap because they dont have it.
Yes it is more expensive but they are local and well you just need to keep the local folks in business.
No you need to hire an expert or you will blow yourself up BS.

By darn it was like I was back in the good old USA I was born in again.:D

Yes Worth, I gladly pay more for local expertise and service. I might spend hours trying to find the best price on tools or canning supplies, but when I need something that may require servicing, I try to stay local. I think the price difference is well spent if a problem occurs.

I will get around to doing this soon.
It has been 100 degrees outside and I dont feel like standing over a hot table saw.
I have been redoing my schedule so I am getting up earlier in the morning before the sun comes up.
If I can beat the hot sun cutting outside I can do the rest of the work inside.
Even in the morning it feels like an oven before the sun comes up.
This is somewhat of a challenge for me as I have not built too many cabinets.
I all I have done is fancy mill work specialty stuff and make doors.

I am about ready to drag the refrigerator big cabinet and freezer out of the garage and into the house so I will have more room out there.

Thread revisit and update on my decision.
Here is the finial plan.
There wont be a kitchen makeover as planned but there will be one not involving the stove top and new oven.'
What I am going to do is cut out a wee bit of frame on an existing cabinet I have in the garage
Where the oven will go in this cabinet is at the perfect height for this with the bottom of the wall oven at 36 inches.
It will also be right next to a 240 outlet.
All I need is when I get the frame cut out some is for someone to help me lift it up and put it in the hole.
The gas cook top will be on another cabinet on casters that I can move around as needed.
It will be connected to a portable propane tank.
Sounds crazy but it is very practical.

So what will you do with the existing appliances?
So what will you do with the existing appliances?
Going to keep them where they are., this way I will have two cook tops and two ovens.
Two in the garage and the older stove in the house.
This way I can just role the cook top outside and make all the smoke I want.:lol:Or can on it in the garage.
When I get the cabinet for the cook top built you will see how it will work outside or be able to role it on the house.

Va voom, that is pretty fancy equipment. I hope to have new cabinets at my cabin this coming year. The hold back is I and the designer at Lowes can't seem to come up with an arrangement where the dishwasher isn't up against the fridge. If anyone has this how does it work for you?

My dishwasher is between the refrigerator and the sink no problem.

Hi Worth, how is your kitchen coming along?

Worth1 March 29, 2017 03:59 PM
Hi Worth, how is your kitchen coming along?
Now to get to this question.
Not at all.
I cant make my mind up what I want to do.:))
On thing putting it off was the gas line.
Now that I have figured out a way to cut pipe threads on my lathe that is not a problem anymore.
So that hurtle is done with.
Next is every floor plan I came up with was totally too crowded.

The only way to really make it work is to put it where the stove is now.
I need to just gut the kitchen to do this.
Next I needed to lose weight so I could get in the attic.
I have done that.

Depression has played a huge roll and it is over now I am happy again.
That event will be told in my random thoughts thread not here.

So in the mean time the oven is under my meat processing station on 4X4 blocks and I use it not a bad place at all.
The stove top will go in the premade cabinet and used in the garage by way of the propane tank.
This way I can cook while the kitchen gets destroyed.
When all is ready I will just move it in and plug and play.
Every other thing I thought of was a compromise.
I do not compromise.
What I wanted to do was going to take hard so I tried to come up with workarounds.
It wasn't happening.
When I make my mind up things go fast and easy.

I felt you deserved a good answer you have always been my friend so there you go my friend.:)
