About the same time around 2003 I bought this bigger one out of Houston.
As you can see it says made in the USA.
Then a few years later I bought this SawzAll from a tool supplier.
As you can see it says Milwaukee USA but it doesn't say made in the USA.
It has been my experience that if it doesn't say made in the USA it is made some place else.

I used to be a die hard Milwaukee guy until they sold out to Home Depot a few years back. Thats pretty much when all their stuff started being made in china. Now i stick with Porter Cable or Hilti.

I think it was corporate greed not necessity that did it.

A few years ago I went to go by a pair of Red Wing work boots.
They had the regular ones made in the USA and the cheaper ones made in China.
It ticked me off so much I walked out and bought some boots at Academy Surplus.
So many of our fine old brands have moved to China.
The last I heard Delta set shop back up in the US.

If you look on the Sawzall it doesn't have the CSA listing on it just the UL listing.

I wont buy Justin boots any more for the same reason. If i wanted Chinese made boots i would go to the swap meet and get them for 10 bucks

I really like my Ridgid cordless tools; it's Home Depot's brand. I just now read the labels on them...yep, made in China. I've gotten a lot of use out of them, though. I think the Ridgid cordless tools are on par with Dewalt and Milwaukee for quality.

I bought the drill because of the lifetime warranty on the batteries.
One played out in about 6 months with maybe 4 recharges on it.
I called the company and they said I had to have the receipt.
The receipt was faded out and so on.
So they wouldn't help me, the guy was a real jerk.
I went to Home depot and the woman in charge gave me a new bigger battery to replace it.
Then the next one took a dump.
I took it back and they replace it with the bigger better battery.

Then I read on line that the battery warranty was only good for the one battery not the rest of them you have to replace.
I do like the drill and will just rebuild the darn batteries when I need to.

Then there is the big router I bought.
A great router BUT the idiots made the router body non standard sized from everyone else.

At least I have two routers now one has a bit in it that has been there for years and will stay there.
It is a rabbit bit for rabbiting the backs of cabinets to drop in 1/4 inch backs.

I had to replace my water heater recently. Thanks to new government energy-efficiency standards, all water heaters now have extra insulation around them. What a great idea, right? The problem is that my water heater closet was built to hold the older ones. I had to cut out two walls before it would fit into the closet. I still haven't drilled a new hole in the floor for the pressure relief valve output. The new water heater sits over the old hole.

It makes me wonder, how much energy are we really saving here, if everyone has to cut down their walls to replace a water heater? That certainly took energy.

Cranberry mandarian sauce ready and the Habanero mandarin marmalade ready for the cooking.

Worth, your marmalade looks really delish! What a combination of flavors! I love regular orange marmalade a lot and made a big batch up last season, along with a small batch of blood orange marmalade. I gave a lot away in gift baskets last season for Christmas. I also made some lemon and lime curd to go in the baskets. They sure look pretty in jars!

Genny I ran out of store bought jelly and jam a while back.
All I had was jalapeno jelly I made.

My family would pick every kind of fruit and berry there was to make jams and jellies throughout the year.
In the winter we had tons of oranges and citrus.
I didn't even know what marmalade was until I left home.
For the life of me I have no idea why my mom didn't make marmalade.
I have no idea why I never made it this is the first time ever.
As for the Habanero orange marmalade it isn't as hot as you would think.
It has some sort of strange spiciness to it but very little heat.
I think the sugar encapsulated the heat inside the pepper shavings.
When I made the jalapeno jelly it wasn't that hot as time goes by it is getting hotter.

The cranberry sauce turned out the best I have ever made.
I used the regular recipe on the bag and added 4 packets of Knox Gelatine.
I used two 12 ounce bags of cranberries.and added some pectin.

Darn it all.
I had five more Habanero peppers to use up and the remaining mandarins.
So the first picture is the final results of my experiments.
The next picture is the results of all of the experiments.
I want to make something saleable and the last batch just might be there.
They all taste great though.
